Introducing Yackelin Fuentes and Cassie Motok, our new team members

We are always happy to welcome new team members to our Washington DC office. This is because we know that a new member is an addition of value that will help us achieve our goal as an organization. We are therefore glad to introduce Yackelin Fuentes as the new Program Administrator for Community Health and Global Programs, and Cassie Motok, as a Community Engagement Specialist for More Than Pink Walk.

Introducing Yackelin Fuentes, Program Administrator for Community Health and Global Programs Team

Jacky was born in El Salvador and moved to Takoma Park, Maryland, at a young age. She graduated with a B.A from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland and earned her Master of Science in Global Health from Georgetown University. Jacky worked at PAHO/WHO in Washington for 7 years and held project management responsibilities for programs such as Risk and Outbreak Communication, IHR, Neglected Infectious Diseases, and Planning, Performance, Monitoring and Assessment.

She left PAHO to obtain a master’s degree and to travel around Haiti where she had the opportunity to learn some French and work with a local NGO working with children suffering from malnutrition. She and her husband love to travel and learn about people and their cultures. They have a 2-year old son. Jacky is passionate about traveling, playing soccer and eating ethnic foods. We are glad to have her join the team. We wish her a beautiful experience here at Susan G. Komen.

Introducing Cassie Motok, Community Engagement Specialist for More Than Pink Walk Team

Cassie Motok is the new Community Engagement Specialist for our More Than Think Pink Walk team. Cassie is a graduate from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in both Marketing and Communications. While in college, she began raising awareness for Breast Cancer as a member of the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. Her passion for change and community involvement continued after graduation as she served through AmeriCorps Volunteer Maryland.

During her AmeriCorps Service Year, she assisted the Communications and Marketing department, focusing on community engagement and volunteer sustainability with the local nonprofit, CaringMatters. Cassie hopes to carry on serving local communities, advocating for support, and making a positive impact through her new position at Susan G. Komen.
